Mallorca enters 2018 Photography Awards
Formentor at Sony World Photography Awards
The professional Mallorcan landscape photographer Diego Faus Momparler has submitted a stunning picture of the iconic Cap de Formentor to the 2018 edition of one of the world's most prestigious competitions, the Sony World Photography Awards.
The natural beauty of Mallorca has been attracting artists to the island ever since the 19th century, who tried to capture the island's breathtaking landscapes on canvas. Now it's the turn of the photographers, and it seems like Mallorca keeps on inspiring first-rate artworks.
Diego Faus' picture will take part in the Open Competition, in the Motion Category. The striking shot features Cap de Formentor's lighthouse surrounded by a winding string of light created by cars driving by and captured thanks to a long exposure. We wish you the best of luck!
