MasterChef is a global phenomenon, showcasing the best cooking talents around the world with editions in six continents. Puerto Portals has now been chosen as the set of one of the Spanish episodes, proving the increasing importance of Mallorca in the international 'foodie' scene.

A few days ago we reported that Puerto Portals is becoming one of Mallorca's gastronomic hotspots, with a new gourmet restaurant set to open there this summer. The fact that MasterChef have decided to turn this luxury marina into the backdrop of their 11th episode only confirms the trend.

Tonight you will be able to watch contestants prepare their best recipes for 32 Mallorcan locals, including two-Michelin starred chef Fernando Pérez Arellano, who will enjoy it aboard luxury yachts. Divided into four groups, they will cook traditional German, English, Madrileño and Mallorcan food, including coca de trampó, sopas mallorquinas and tumbet.
