Free events this weekend in Palma de Mallorca

Take yourself down to Palma on Friday or Saturday nights for a host of free events and markets that take place around the Cathedral and Bellver Castle.

On Fridays, Es Baluad Art Museum hosts Mercal Air - a series of short films shown on the terrace from 8pm, accompanied by DJ's and a bar (not free...). From 10pm, open air parties hosted by local and international music artists takes place at Ses Voltes - just below the Cathedral.

On Saturdays, there is an arts & crafts market on Paseo Sagrera and Las Maravillas (Playa de Palma), from 8pm to 12 midnight. Up at Bellver Castle, there are jazz concerts, starting at 9.30pm. Outdoor films are also shown in Parc de la Mer from 10pm, although these are mostly in Spanish.
