Mallorca is home to a selection of short, less challenging courses, perfect for beginners or part timers, while a number of award-winning greens will challenge even the most experienced of golfers. The island plays host to several golf competitions and championship tournaments, some of which include: The Spanish Professional Championship; The Balearic Islands Trophy; and The Challenge H.R.H. Count of Barcelona, among many others.
Mallorca’s golf courses can be found in some of the island’s most stunning locations, generally with sea or mountain views. Ranging in difficulty, the majority of courses are 18-holes, with a couple of shorter 9-hole greens. If you’re after an indulgent, fully packaged golfing holiday, larger golf courses are attached to luxury 5-star hotels, where you can take advantage of reduced green fees and benefit from ease of access. SOUTH MALLORCA
Ideal for those staying in Santa Ponsa, Palmanova and Magaluf; one of Mallorca's oldest and most respected courses is T-Golf Club, near Sant Ponsa. Just 12km away from the city of Palma, it has a relaxed atmosphere with wide fairways and large greens, making it an exciting challenge for any-level of golfer. Their 18 holes with par 72, measures 6430 metres and runs through beautiful rolling hills. Designed by John Harris and opened in 1978, the majestic pines, seven lakes and numerous bunkers combined, make this one of the most enjoyable rounds you will ever play.
Andratx Golf Club designed by Gleneagles Scotland is known for its tricky and lengthy holes whereas Son Termens Golf Club features small greens and hilly fairways.
Championship course, Puntiro Golf Park designed by Jack Nicklaus' company, benefits from being in close proximity to Palma.
Santa Ponsa boasts a large, three course golf complex - Santa Ponsa Golf Club. Notably Mallorca’s most popular golfing ground, only one of their courses is open to the public. The greens help form a large complex of villas, apartments and hotels, alongside a well-respected Country Club.
North of Palma city and consisting of three different greens is Arabella Golf in Son Vida. Enjoy access to all three courses: Son Muntaner, Son Quint and Son Vida.
Son Gual Golf Club east of Palma Airport, is another challenging Championship course with an elegant clubhouse amid beautiful surroundings.
Less busy Maioris Golf Club, located in the remote southern part of Mallorca, allows for a quieter round of play. It has several unusual features such as ‘island’ greens which make for an interesting round of golf.
NORTH MALLORCA
In the north of the island and close to Alcudia, Alcanada Golf Club is widely loved amongst the golfing elite, it hosts internationally renowned competitions and boasts wonderful views of the Tramuntana mountains and Alcudia Bay.
Used for the European Tour and situated in the north-east of Mallorca, Pula Golf Course was re-designed by Jose Maria Olazabal and could be said to be one of Mallorca’s most challenging.
Pollença Golf Club may only be 9 holes but offers a spectacular location with great mountain views and looking down towards Pollença Bay.
EAST MALLORCA
Son Servera Golf Club on Mallorca’s eastern side is rather tricky with narrow fairways and plenty of bunkers.
Son Antem Golf Course presents two 18-hole greens. Designed by Francisco Lopez Segales, their ‘East course’ is well suited to an intermediate golfer, whilst the ‘West course’ provides a more challenging experience.
Vall d'Or Golf Club near holiday haven - Cala d'Or, has fantastic views out to sea and a real variety of different holes to keep you entertained.

Canyamel Golf Club, also on the island’s east coast; is specifically designed to blend into its natural surroundings.

The 18-hole course at Son Quint was created by James Arnold in 2009 and probably counts as the youngest course on the island. It has been landscaped using the native plants of Mallorca - featuring olive, carob and pine trees. Leyland cypresses provide a lateral protection to one side of the course. Throughout the 6,780 meters length of the course, stone walls typical to Mallorca, oleander bushes and lantana flowers complete a challenging, but fun, short golf course. The course was designed so to make best use of the views down towards the city of Palma and the Bay area.
Maioris Golf Club is located 15 minutes west of Palma de Mallorca on the south coast of Mallorca. The course was created in 2006 by Dieter Cabus and is of a championship standard.
This golf club is located next to the sea in beautiful natural surroundings. The course was designed by John Harris and opened originally as a 9-hole course in 1967.
This golf course, situated in Canyamel in the nort-east of Mallorca, is renowned for being one of the most beautiful on the island.
An 18-hole golf course, par 71, 5.539 m long from white tees. The course was designed by Bradford Benz and opened in 1985. It is situated close to Portocolom.

You certainly don’t need a handicap to play the Arabella Golf Son Quint Pitch & Putt. This Par 3, 9-hole short course was designed by James Arnold and opened in 2009. Situated in the affluent area of Son Vida on the outskirts of Palma, it boasts exceptional landscape views of the surrounding hills scattered with lavish villas.
The course at Alcanada is a real gem. The only course on the island which is on the coast, this Robert Trent Jones design perfectly exploits its magnificent setting. Tough in places though inviting for golfers of all levels, the course is a superb synergy of beauty and quality.
