Are you aged 17 to 20? Do you love horses? Then this is the perfect opportunity for you. You can spend one or two weeks on the beautiful island of Mallorca learning all about our equine friends at the prestigious Hipica Formentor.

This summer Hipica Formentor have teamed up with Xtreme Gap Year, a company giving young people the chance to join exciting trips run by very adventurous travel experts. They offer opportunities all over the world working with elephants in Africa, attending boot camps in Bali or learning a language anywhere from Mexico to Honduras.

This time they are planning something a bit nearer to home, an affordable and fun experience for horse lovers in Mallorca. You can spend one or two weeks on this gorgeous piece of paradise working with horses every day, learning about Hipica Formentor's natural approach to animal care and how to effectively communicate with your horse, exploring the island on horseback and spending your weekends on the beach... what more could you ask for?

There are two weeks available from Sunday 1st July to Sunday 15th July. Prices (excluding flights) start from £1,089 for one week, all-inclusive. Accommodation is provided at a modern, cool beach house with breakfast and lunch included and some great bars and restaurants nearby. There is even a swimming pool at the stables for cooling off after riding or working with the horses. The week also includes some trips to bars for drinks and tapas on horseback, as well as opportunities to learn how to cook traditional Mallorca food or speak Catalan.

To book your summer experience, take a look at our Event and click on the website link. Hipica Formentor offer many other activities, including a 3-day trail riding holiday as well as shorter excursions, introductory riding lessons for children or treks in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains.
