Mallorcan villas in top 10 most expensive properties for sale
Spain's most popular real estate website, idealista, has published a list of the country's 10 most expensive properties for sale and 4 of them are located on the island of Mallorca.
The first place belongs to an 8-bedroom villa in Alcúdia which boasts breathtaking views over the bay, currently on the market for €57.5 million. The second and third most expensive houses for sale are situated in Puigpunyent and Andratx, valued at €26.5 and €24.5 million respectively. Andratx is also the setting of Spain's ninth most lavish villa, a contemporary chalet costing €17 million.
All the properties are located on the west coast of the island, around the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, an exclusive area that boasts gorgeous landscapes and intimate calas. It has been chosen by the rich and famous as their preferred spot to buy a holiday home for decades thanks to its beauty and privacy. Claudia Schiffer, Michael Douglas and Brad Pitt all have houses here.
