Seabin Project was created in 2015 by two Australians living in Palma as an automated rubbish bin for marinas, able to get rid of floating debris. The super slick marina of Port Adriano in Mallorca have now partnered with them to fight the good floating plastic fight.

Designed by Philippe Starck, the luxury marina of Port Adriano has always been active in supporting solutions and educational projects related to the protection of the environment. They will now be collaborating with the team at Seabin Project as Spain's first pilot partner and early adaptors of the Seabin technology to help rescue and protect the oceans.

According to Pete Ceglinski, co-founder and managing director at the Seabin Project, "It is a great achievement to have Port Adriano sign on as a pilot partner and we are excited to work with the team throughout the 3 year partnership; product innovation is not limited to solely the Seabin technology, as the educational programs, science and research programs and other elements will need to be trialed also".

Port Adriano will put together lessons for local schools on the importance of preserving the oceans, participate in research programs to monitor and control water quality, host environmental events with local organisations and provide technical feedback on the use of the Seabins.
