Algaida is located towards the middle of the island, about 15 km east of Palma. This hike can start from the town of Algaida, walking towards Castellitx, where there is a beautiful hermitage, the "Ermita de la Pau" that is well worth visiting, and then on to Aubella, where the climb to Cura starts.

Wonderful sanctuaries at the top of Randa hill
The top of Randa mountain offers a splendid panoramic view of the plain of Mallorca and the Palma bay. On the descent to the small village of Randa, you can visit the chapels of sant Honorat and our Lady of Gracia, of which the latter houses a 15th century sculpture. From the church square, dominated by a magnificient cliff with nesting doves, there is a view of the plain of Llucmajor and the southern coast of Majorca as far as Cabrera. The return to Algaida is via the picturesque village of Randa. This excursion involves a 15 km walk to reach Randa. However, it is possible to drive to Randa and then visit the three sanctuaries, in which case the walk is shortened to 7 km.

Els Calderers de Sant Joan
