Once more, the Spanish royals have disembarked in Mallorca for their summer holidays. King Felipe, Queen Letizia and their daughters Leonor and Sofia posed for official pictures at the Almudaina Palace, in Palma, on Sunday.

This ancient medieval palace with breathtaking views of Palma Bay has been the main royal residence in Mallorca for centuries. Nonetheless, the royal family usually welcome the media at Marivent Palace, near Cala Major, where they're staying.

King Felipe VI will participate in the sailing event of the year, the Copa del Rey regatta, as will his sister the Infanta Elena. Their father, King Juan Carlos, was also expected to join the race but he had to drop out because of a wrist injury. Felipe has been training in Palma Bay, departing from Porto Pi aboard the Aifos 500 yacht.

Queen Sofia and Elena's children, Victoria Federica and Felipe Juan Froilán are also on the island. Victoria and her mother visited Palma's marina, Club Náutico, which is the regatta's departure point, on Sunday. The Infanta also had dinner with friends at a restaurant in Puerto Portals on Thursday while her son attended Steve Aoki's bash at BH Mallorca.
