This Friday 8th July Bar Flexas will once again be hosting its mad, fab and outrageously camp fiesta in Parc de la Mar. With cabaret-style shows and plenty of live music, the flamboyant presenters are sure to have you on your feet singing and dancing by the end of the night.

This is the 12th anniversary of the epic party and everyone's curious to know what will be replacing the ginormous, inflatable legs which decorated the stage last year. Whatever it is, it'll no doubt be wonderfully over the top. There's no such thing as too much glitter at this event and the public is encouraged to raid their fancy dress box and let their hair down.

This year's theme is 'Presvicia', in other words 'Presbyopia', in other words, blurred eyes sight... Make of that what you will! Perhaps this is the moment to mention there will be three large bar areas. Get your drink tickets from the mobile office at the back of the park. Hot dogs and hamburger trucks are on standby too.

Pepa Charro, aka La Terremoto de Alcorcón, or Earthquake of Alcorcon, a Spanish actress, singer and comedian is the mistress of ceremonies, bringing big hair, lots of lycra and hilarious interpretations of well-known songs to the mix. The lineup includes some intriguing named acts such as Papa Topo, Tormenta Balear, Lorena C Y Las Chuminorris, to mention just a few of the local and national stars you may not have heard of, but who will certainly bring pizzazz to the proceedings. An International Surprise Star will also be making an appearance, so start guessing... Beyoncé in drag perhaps?

There's no need to leave the children at home either, as the first half of the night is very much a family affair. The evening kicks off at 20.30 with Flexas Kids karaoke where kids can choose to sing whatever song they like providing they bring a CD or pen drive with them. The children's part of the show lasts until 22.30 and then the stage will be handed over to the professionals. After the live music, DJ's will be playing until the early hours.

The party is organised by Bar Flexas, a small restaurant in Palma, with a big personality. The great location and carnival atmosphere has proven to be a hit, especially with the gay community. Every year the event grows in popularity, attracting an enthusiastic and friendly audience from Mallorca and beyond.
