More and more premium properties are being sold in Mallorca each year, an island that keeps attracting the rich and famous year in year out. The luxury market has seen a 38% increase in sales this year in properties ranging from 1 to 38 million euros thanks to the pull of British, German and Scandinavian buyers.

The main upmarket real estate hot spot on the island remains Port d'Andratx and its neighbouring area of Camp de Mar, where luxury villas boast an average price tag of 4 million euros, reaching up to 38 million euros at the top end of the market. Cap de Formentor is another highly sought-after sector with houses sold at an average price of 6 million.

But the popularity of Mallorca's luxury properties extends all over the island's coastline including Palma's old town, Puerto Portals, Portixol, Cala Major, Pollença, Deià, or Cala d'Or.
