Just off the coast road 5km south of Port d'Alcudia in the north west of Mallorca, the S'Albufera wetlands make a welcome relief from long stretches of crowded beach.

S'Albufereta de Pollensa is a wetland nature reserve in the north of the island, however, it is largely private property.  Visitors can drive along the main road from Pollenca to Alcudia to view the habitats.

This uninhabited island off Mallorca's western tip was the focus for a turning point in Mallorcan history in 1977, when it was occupied by environmentalists protesting against a planned tourist development. The campaigners won, the island became a nature reserve instead, the seabirds survived, and for the first time the authorities realised that mass tourism had reached its limit.

First established in 1912 and located on Mallorca’s eastern side just above the pretty central town of Petra, Bodega Miquel Oliver incorporates modern culture with the local rustic surroundings. This family-owned business offers four types of private wine tour, ensuring there’s something to cater to every client. Individual wines are produced in this family-run estate, winning plenty of awards along the way. 

This estate has been a family-run vineyard for almost 20 years, producing mainly local varieties such as Callet, Merlot & Syrah.

Built in 2003, this winery aims to produce award-winning monovarietal wines made to stand the test of time. They are located near Sencelles, between Binissalem and Inca.

Situated to the south-east of Mallorca, this winery produces its wines on the old country estate of Son Burguera close to the town of Felanitx. The wines of this relatively young winery (established in 1994) have made a big impression on wine connoisseurs and its blends have already reached cult status.

This family-run bodega located in the municipality of Consell has a long tradition dating back to 1711. The Ribas family has dedicated itself to caring for its vineyards and producing wine, and it is one of the oldest wineries on Mallorca. Close to the winery are the family’s own vineyards, covering 40 hectares. Most contain old vines and are the winery’s most important asset. The vines include white varietals Prensal Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier, Chenin and tiny grained Muscatel, and red varieties Manto Negro, Gargollassa, Callet, Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot.
