22km point to point but a longer day out at 44km if you do the return journey by bike instead of catching the bus.

Departing from Colonia de Sant Jordi you will find a turn off towards Campos and another to Ses Salines. As a detour, you may want to take the first, to visit to the wonderful beach Es Trenc at Ses Covetes - it is only 6km away and it's a lovely unspoilt beach. Otherwise, take the road to Ses Salines, approximately a 10 km ride. Once you have crossed this town ride on for 3 km, until you see a sign indicating the turn off to the lighthouse, on the right. The road is surrounded by woodland and is peaceful and you can enjoy the fresh country air. Next to the lighthouse is a rocky beach where you may want to take a swim.

On the way back, we suggest a visit to Llombards, a very typical and quiet Majorcan village. Those who still have some energy left may wish to continue on to the town of Santanyi, which has a street market on Wednesdays and Saturdays selling typical crafts and local produce.

Points of Interest: Santanyí is famous for its work in stone and the streets in the area are the visible proof of this. It is worth riding around the town and visiting the church, which contains an organ of great artistic importance. In La Colonia, there are salt flats and some of the best beaches in Mallorca, such as Es Trenc and Es Carbo.

Itinerary: Colonia Sant Jordi - Ses Salines - Cap de Ses Salines
Distance: 22 km one way
Difficulty: Mainly flat with a few hills
