Now, after an extensive renovation by Madrid's Estudio Lamela and Parisian interior designers Gilles & Boisier, the Four Seasons has revived this legendary property, joining the company's portfolio of reimagined European icons like the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat and San Domenico Palace in Sicily. The resort opened in August 2024 and operates seasonally, welcoming guests from spring through autumn.
The property sits amid 100 acres of dramatic Mediterranean landscape, surrounded by towering cliffs, pine forests that reach down to white sand, and crystal-clear coves. The estate includes its own vineyards producing wines from native varietals like manto negro and prensal, olive groves for the resort's own oil, and a classic Mallorcan possessió (manor house) with a tiny consecrated chapel. The renovation has reoriented the hotel more than ever towards the sea, with all 110 rooms overlooking the Mediterranean and the lush pines.
The rooms and suites feature an interplay of natural materials in ochre tones – travertine marble bathrooms with both showers and bathtubs, wood finishes, raffia elements, and cotton linens on king-size Simmons mattresses. Amenities are from Barcelona's Natura Bissé, and each room includes a Lavazza coffee maker, minibar, and better than any television a mirror on the terrace that reflects the sea and mountains. Some suites have private pools.
The resort offers two enormous swimming pools: an infinity-edge pool reserved for adults with breathtaking Mediterranean views, and another running parallel to a row of olive trees. There's also a tennis court, gym, outdoor yoga spaces, and several hiking trails within the estate's grounds. A temporary spa currently offers treatments inspired by the island's botanical riches, while a permanent spa will open in 2025. The beach features a reserved area with hammocks and waiter service, plus non-motorised water sports, snorkelling, and boat excursions to explore Mallorca's magical caves and remote coves.
For families, the free supervised Kids for All Seasons program offers games, treasure hunts, and beach activities, with a program for teenagers launching in 2025. The resort has earned LEED Gold certification, the first in the Balearic Islands, and has been designed for wheelchair accessibility with wide elevator doors and step-free paths.
Beyond the resort, the practically inaccessible Cala Murta awaits (reached by 4x4 or boat), where you can swim, explore walking paths alongside local goats, or nap under the pines. The seaside town of Port de Pollença is just minutes away, offering a quiet atmosphere, marina, and endless leisure activities.
