Cala Mondrago Beach, South-East Mallorca

Cala Mondrago is a small beach situated within Mondrago National Park in the south east corner of Mallorca.

The beach has been protected from development and is considered to be one of Mallorca's most beautiful areas with its sand dunes, pine forests, beautiful coastline and rocky coves.

There are sun loungers and parasols to rent as well as a bar and restaurant for refreshments. Lifeguards are on duty during peak season and the beach features facilities such as toilets, showers, disabled access and car park.

If you find that the beach is way too busy when you arrive, you can try S'Aramador beach to the east in the next door cove which is much larger (although still very popular). To the west lies the pretty smaller beach of Calo des Burgit.

Setting & Location

Despite its fairly remote location, it is extremely popular because of its beautiful natural setting. This is one of the better beaches within reach of the resort of Cala d'Or and as Cala Mondrago is quite small it can get very crowded during the holiday period. It measures 75 metres in length and is around 60 metres deep.

Water Safety & Clarity

The beach slopes gently down into the clear blue seas. The shallowness of the sea makes it very good for small children. There are ramps for the disabled and lifeguards are on duty.

Beach Quality

The white sand is soft and silky.

Watersports

Snorkelling is a popular activity here thanks to the clarity of the sea, as are boat trips. You can also try kayaking, paddle boarding and other watersports on the beach.
