Run by a British couple, and set in a rural location in central Mallorca with views over the local countryside and mountains, Finca Son Jorbo offers style and comfort in a restored 17th century country house. With the convenience of bed and breakfast and the added benefit of fully equipped self-catered apartments, Finca Son Jorbo is the perfect combination.
However, Finca Son Jorbo is more than just a bed and breakfast; the house has five contemporary apartment suites. All the apartment suites have a separate bedroom, sitting room, shower room, kitchen and private terrace so there is plenty of room to spread out. Each one is designed in a different style, blending the rustic charms of a traditional Mallorcan country house with the comforts of contemporary living. The house and gardens offer a peaceful, informal, child-free place to unwind and relax.
The reception hall with its old stone walls ensures there is somewhere cool at any time of day and in the well stocked library there are books for all tastes plus a selection of board games and a self-service bar. If you can’t escape the rat-race, there is a computer with internet access and WiFi available throughout the house and grounds.
Due to the central location, you can get to almost anywhere in Mallorca within 1 hour, making it the ideal base from which to explore the whole island.
Annie and Martin look forward to welcoming you to Finca Son Jorbo.
The pool is surrounded by a paved terrace with loungers and parasols and is in the sun all day. If you prefer to relax in the shade then there is a comfortable sofa under the gazebo. There are never more than 10 people at the pool and unlike so many hotels, you will often find that you have the place to yourself.
This Finca operates on a bed and breakfast basis. Continental breakfast is served each morning (on the terrace in summer and indoors on colder days). You'll find freshly squeezed orange juice, tea, coffee, pastries, fresh fruit salad, cheese, ham yoghurts and eggs can be cooked on request.
You’ll need to book your own transfers, when staying here. Your main options are shared or private transfers, but consider whether you would prefer a door-to-door service or a (generally cheaper) “communal” drop-off point at your destination.

You’ll need to organise your own bike hire when staying here. Things to consider are the type of bike you want to rent such as road, mountain, hard trail and/or an electric bike; and whether you’ll need helmets and protective clothing with your rental. You’re best off choosing a shop that is close to your accommodation for ease of access, and making it quicker to return the bike and pay at the end. Some companies may also deliver so it’s worth looking at all the options.

Not only do they know the best local spots, these highly trained and experienced individuals are very familiar with the surroundings and can provide loads of insights you won’t get by yourself.

- "We found Finca Son Jorbo on the web and liked the look of it. We were immediately impressed by the reception we had from our email enquiries. On arrival Annie and Martin were waiting to greet us and show us our apartment. The apartment was everything we could have wished for. We chose the "Rosa" apartment . This particular apartment has it's own sun terrace and very spacious accommodation for two people. You need a car I feel as it's quite isolated being about 1.5 miles from Porreres. The essentials to set yourself up on arrival are all provided." - Trip Advisor
- "We have recently returned from our second visit to Finca Son Jorbo. This is the first time that we have actually returned for a second time to the same holiday destination and we chose the lovely Aqua apartment to stay in again complete with daily visits from Bertie. From the moment that we drove up and were met by Annie and Martin with their same warm welcome we felt that we had started our holiday amongst familiar friendly surroundings and enjoyed many trips into Porreres and the local beaches. Annie and Martin work extremely hard at ensuring that a stay at their lovely home is everything that you could want from a holiday and more. Yet another first - we have already booked to return next Summer and are looking forward to staying in the new Rosa apartment. If you are thinking about visiting Finca Son Jorbo then do so - it will more than live up to your expectations and you will enjoy a slice of holiday heaven!" - Trip Advisor
- "Finca Son Jorbo, recommended to us by friends, turned out to be everything they had promised: a place to get away from it all in stylish accommodation with friendly hosts, and no children around. After a very straight forward journey from the airport we were personally greeted by Annie and Martin who showed us around and introduced us to our stylish apartment - one of only five hidden from each other in this converted finca. All the apartments were truly self-contained with lounge (providing TV if required - we were able to see the Wimbledon final, World Cup matches, and the start of the Tour de France!), kitchen with all mod cons, large bedroom, and bathroom - all cleaned every day! We were able to meet our fellow guests over breakfast served outside on a small terrace by our attentive hosts. Every morning with were woken to the gentle sound of fresh oranges being squeezed ready for breakfast. Many breakfast discussions tended to include recommendations of places to visit, eat, shop, swim ... There is so much to see in Mallorca and Son Jorbo is ideally placed to get to most places easily- a car is therefore essential. Our holiday soon fell into a pattern of one day lounging by the pool in the rural peace and quiet, and the next travelling around the island. The local village has some great restaurants especially if you do not want to cook - my favourite being Es Centro - the best pizzas ever! With blues and jazz played every Thursday evening. This is a place we will return to - next time maybe with friends - could be summer, spring, even Christmas - Annie and Martin will be there offering the same splendid service as they have done for the past decade or so!!!!" - Trip Advisor
Porreres is pleasant to stroll around but lacks many tourist facilities. There is a weekly market on Tuesday mornings. There are many festivals held here throughout the year - try Sant Antoni in January, Summer Festival in August or the Harvest Festival in October.
Things to Do Nearby
There are some vineyards in the area - book in advance for tours and tastings. Hire some bicycles or a car and explore the many country lanes.
