A flat road cycle but at a distance of 60km this could be a long ride for a beginner so be prepared!

The excursion commences at the S'Arenal roundabout near the water park of Aqualand. From there we set off towards Cap Blanco for seven and a half kilometres. At this point we will take the turn off to our left signed to Camí de Sa Torre. This quiet road leads through to Llucmajor, passing by the torre (tower) which gives the road its name. Once in Llucmajor we will cross the roundabout and continue along the road which crosses the town until we see a turn off to the right indicating Cala Pí.

We will follow along this narrow road for 11 Kms until we meet with the road Cap Blanco again. We will carry on towards the right until we see a turn off for the prehistoric village Capocorb and the road to reach Cala Pi (Ma-6014). Returning to S'Arenal by continuing along the main road Ma-6014, we can stop to observe the impressive cliffs of the area, from which the bay of Palma can be seen. The return along this road is much more restful with a light descent, although it is advisable to pedal with caution as it is a very wide road where cars can whizz along at great speed.

Points of Interest: The prehistoric site at Capocorb dates from 1000 B.C. It contains five talayots and dwellings dating from the Bronze Age but are in a good condition. From its tower you can see the Cabrera Islands. The views from Cala Blava, at dusk above all, are spectacular. A luxury hotel the Cap Rocat sits at the end of the headland - book in advance for sundowners.

Itinerary: Arenal - Llucmajor - Capocorb - Arenal.
Distance: 65 Kms
Difficulty: Flat cycle ride
