Idyllic rural escape with rustic charm, breathtaking views, and a perfect blend of tranquility and luxury
Cases de Son Barbassa agrotourism is surrounded by history. The old houses of Son Barbassa are situated in the Natural Park of Llevant, whose watchtower dates back to the 16th century.
Located at a few kilometres distance from the medieval centre of Capdepera, and close to Cala Mesquida and Cala Agulla beaches, the hotel is only a five minute journey from the tourist centre of Cala Ratjada. With an area of around 125,000 sqm, the country estate is rich with almond, olive and carob trees.
A mixture of rural and modern the twenty rooms offer maximum comfort and the best amenities. Each suite has a different character and they are all independent, with private terraces. For families with children they also offer interconnecting rooms. Rooms are also available with wheelchair and disabled access.
All accommodation, including the double rooms for families with children, have air conditioning, satellite television, mini bar, safe, hydro massage, bath or shower, hair dryer, bath robes and other services.
There are comfortable lounges in which to relax within the tower, and a traditional kitchen with an inglenook fireplace. Dining areas are situated on terraces between olive and carob trees and there is also a large swimming pool with fabulous panoramic views.
They also offer relaxing treatments, including massages and beauty treatments.

The outdoor pool is situated in a secluded part of the grounds on the summit of the hill and offers fantastic panoramic views of the grounds, castle and town of Capdepera. Sun loungers are available throughout the day for guests to relax in the shade of a parasol or escape the sun under the trees. A massage and well-being area is situated next to the swimming pool.
The charming restaurant is located on the glass covered terrace. Here you can taste their Mediterranean cuisine with fresh, natural products from their garden or the local market. They create imaginative and flavourful dishes that satisfies even the most demanding appetite.
The menus at Cases de Son Barbassa, created by Chef Juan Antonio García, do not betray the traditional recipes but add in a creative twist.
The restaurant has its own extensive wine cellar with wines from all over Mallorca.
It is worth knowing that the estate makes their own extra virgin olive oil which is used throughout the dishes they prepare. The oil is created from a variety of olive types - Mallorquina, Arbequina and Picual, which are harvested by hand.
Every spring and autumn the restaurant also organises special four-course dinners accompanied by a selection of wines of the best cellars in Mallorca. Their own sommelier will be on hand to describe the different notes and sensations of the refined wines severed.
