Puerto Pollensa was originally a quiet fishing village but helped by its breath-taking back drop of the Tramuntana Mountains, it quickly became a popular spot. In fact, the bay includes the renowned, La Fortaleza Estate, which was recently used for the BBC's 2016 adaptation of The Night Manager. The town itself consists mainly of modern buildings, however, you won't find any high-rises here. Many of the older apartment blocks and hotels have been replaced with quality contemporary properties that offer a better class of accommodation. It has many idyllic spots including the famous Pine Walk promenade which runs along the sandy d'Albercuix beach.
