The beach at Port de Pollença is a lovely long Blue Flag beach in a horseshoe bay that is in turn overlooked by the fabulous Tramuntana mountains. It's one of the best settings in Mallorca.
With nearly 1.5km of beach, you are sure to find a nice space to enjoy the wonderful scenery that surrounds the town. Our live webcam of the beach can show you real time conditions at the beach and you can see for yourself how busy/sunny/beautiful it is.
You can rent sun loungers and parasols, and there are toilets and showers and a high presence of lifeguards. There are free car parking facilities on the street behind the beach, and a host of shops and restaurants along the beach front.
There is a much smaller beach at the other end of Port de Pollenca. If you follow the Pine Walk along from the marina, you'll come across d'Albercuix beach. It stretches for over a kilometre but in places it gets too narrow to actually lie down on. But it is a good alternative to the main beach, particularly if this is where your accommodation is.

Setting & Location
The town of Port de Pollenca is found in the north west of Mallorca and despite being a resort town, the beach is a lot less crowded than the beach in neighbouring Alcudia so there is more space for everyone. You also get the beautiful views of Mallorca's dramatic mountains, along with a little more peace and quiet.
Water Safety & Clarity
The shallow water makes it suitable for children.
The beach has been artificially enhanced with the help of the installation of some breakwaters and imported sand so that the beach at the Port end is nice and deep. The further east you go from the port, the narrower but quieter the beach becomes.
Windsurfing is very popular here, thanks to its position in the Bay of Pollenca with its favourable winds. Water sports and sailing are also popular, and you can hire dinghys, pedaloes and windsurfs.
