Set in a medieval townhouse in the centre of Palma de Mallorca, this luxury hotel takes you back to the time when the city was home to nobles, merchants and travellers who brought exotic products from distant lands.
The house was renovated in the 18th-century by the Ferrer-Quintana family, wealthy merchants, and then again in 2019 to be opened as a hotel. Plenty of original features have been retained such as the arch over the entrance, the Baroque-style patio or the local Marés-stone vaulted ground floor, dating back to the 17th century.
Inside, there are 27 rooms and suites, each with its own identity and overlooking the quiet streets of the old Jewish quarter or the patio. They all have a large satellite TV, WiFi access, bathrobes, slippers and lush bathrooms with hairdryer and a magnifying mirror.
The rooftop terrace is this hotel's main feature, overlooking the old Palma and boasting a bar where you'll enjoy a selection of wines, cocktails, vermouths and tapas at Terracotta, the rooftop bar. Inside, the Sa Cuina del Antigua restaurant takes inspiration from old Mallorcan kitchens both in its decor and menu while down in the vaulted rooms Antigua Bar serves tapas, a selection of Spanish wines and hot drinks.
There's also a spa with heated pool, Finnish sauna, steam room, chromotherapy and aromatherapy showers and ice fountain. To use it, you need to book it in advance as it'll be enjoyed solely by you.
